Technologybits!

So, it turns out that when my MSN was dying, and I updated it, I also got some bits of the Windows Live software suite.

So this post is the first one to test out the Windows Live Writer program. It can post straight to my blog.

And Has all sorts of useless bits such as: headings, and, um, some other bits.

 

In other news, it will be busy in the future. There are several gigs or music festivals coming up that will surely occupy some much of my time.

Maybe then I will have something interesting to put here.

 

 

Today’s auditory curio is – WAIT, I have 2.

1/ Iron Horse. They play bluegrass covers of Metallica and Modest Mouse.

2/ I recently am listening to the Zarcorp Demo of Late Of The Pier, which is quite good to hear after so long of only ever hearing Fantasy Black Channel. Nice. Some of it is old songs that got reworked for the “new” FBC, and are rougher, and some of them are not on it. Yay!

Pointless

So, I said that I would need to think of things to post.
Well, I have successfully forgotten to think of things about which to post.

Which means that this post will have to be about forgetting things. Or being distracted by things.
Which reminds me...


Do you know that feeling you get when you're trying to remember something, however trivial, and you Just Can't Remember What It WAS! And it's infuriating.
And you think that it will bug you all day. Until you remember.

Well, I worked it out.
It only bugs you until you get to the next thing that you can't remember, or figure out, or whatever. Then this displaces the old thing bugging you.

Et voila, ad infinitum.

There is a catch with this. It's like the catch of being self-aware while dreaming.
Usually if you (I) realise in a dream that 'oh wow! I am dreaming!', I just wake up.
So if I realise that I am in this infuriating state of brain-stuckness, it irks me.
Then I think about it for a bit. Then the fact that I am aware that it happens, and there are so many things that will just go unremembered as a result, becomes the new annoyance that replaces my previous worry.

Until something new distracts me...

Yay.

Movies and bits. Possible spoilers.

So, something that I found interesting tonight was, well, found, after watching American Beauty.
I had already seen this film, although a long time ago. My recollection of that film was largely concerned with the Kevin Spacey/Mena Suvari subplot. I'm pretty sure that after finishing it last time (maybe 2003 or similar), I remember remembering that to be one of the more dominant streams.

After watching it again, it seems that perhaps I now see how minor it really is, and then the Kevin Spacey and the Boy Next Door plots come to the fore.
I honestly don't remember how much the movie was about Kevin Spacey from last time.

So, now I'm sitting here, listening to Cake, and thinking about actually blogging more regularly.
But that means that I will need to think of things more regularly to blog.
Hrm.

Also watched My Sister's Keeper, which was not as sad as the trailer made me think it would be. There goes my imagination again.



OH. And also, I started coming up with a list of movies to watch again soon sometime perhaps.
The Machinist, Pleasantville, Being John Malkovich/Adaptation (double movie sitting), Naked Lunch, 1984, 2001, Mars Attacks, and Fido, the zombie one, not the dog one.
Not all of these I have actually seen once, let alone again, but there you go. It's still a list.
