Read this! Alternatively, don't read this!

The Long Awaited Update

It has been far longer than I ever intended between updates, but for this Long Awaited Update (indeed, the longest yet!), I have the events of a rather busy weekend to chronicle.

This is a slightly lengthy entry, but it is broken into three (3) subsections. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Hey, you could even read one now, and come back and read the next bit later on!

(also, to make it easier for skim-readers, I'm gonna try bold places and italic names (well, first mention of them anyways). We'll see how that goes, eh wot wot)

1 - Starting with FRIDAY…

Friday began with a sleep-in, due to a late night exploring the expansive city of San Andreas, and also battling the vicious Strogg.
Later that night…
Friday night was unusually busy for me this week – a grand total of three (3) parties to attend!

Firstly, there was “filming” party at Jo Doley’s. Some people I met there (in alphabetical order):
Ali, Amelia, Brett, Chris, Dave, Denley, James, Jo (of course), Kif, Matilda, Rhea, Shaun, Simon, So-lou
I’m sure that there were some names that have temporarily slipped my mind, but let me know and I can add them/you in!

Anyways… I left this partay not THAT late, and then traveled in le car with So-lou and Shaun to Tom’s (a.k.a. Caesar perhaps?) Going Away Bash. This was but a brief stop-in, so that a Farewell could be said, and a street directory could be borrowed. I met more people here that I knew!

Then, using the borrowed street directory, I traveled (via dropping Shaun and So-lou home) to birthday party Far Away. It had kinda wound down a bit by the time I got there (maybe 7 people) so we just sat around chatting, until I had to pull myself away to return to Tom’s before too much of the night had worn on. I thusly arrived at Tom’s again at aboot 1.45 in the morning. I brought with me a street directory and a small quantity of ex-Aussie Day beer. Some of the people there before had left though…

Some pool was played, and much gas-bagging (mostly with Dave and Hugh and Clancy) and music-listening was done. I walked myself home at about 4.30, missing out on some partying, and managed to squeeze 4 hours of sleep in before work the next morning.

2 - The Next Day – SATURDAY!

Well, tired work is slow, dragging-on work. The day slowly dragged itself on until Home Time. Oh Joyous Day!
The one saving grace of this day were the two reasonably lengthy visits from Shaun and So-lou, who made my day so much more bearable. It's always nice to have friends visit you when you're bored at work, so: thankyou guys!

Then… Train to the city to meet Sally, Sheree, and Illmo to go to the UniBar (Home, Sweet Home, How I missed thee…) to see Dallas Crane & Special Guests (according to the ticket. The special guests were actually Melbourne band Cannon, and Tim Rodgers (or is it Rogers…?) & The Temperance Union). Dallas Crane was my favourite by a long way, although the crowd was fairly docile. Also, Doctor Pump from the Temperance Union is… unusual…
And in the break between Tim Ro(d)gers and Dallas Crane, I won some ‘decision dice’ from Ron’s hated Stacker machine…

This finished at around 12.45…

I then trekked past HJs (lines out the door just about!) on my way to Shotz (through Scary Park Area). The line at Shotz was terrible! Rather rather long ( to give you an idea, I got there maybe 1.10 or 1.15am, and I almost missed out entirely on the 1-2am happy hour!).
Fortunately, I met Amy in the line, and a couple of her friends that I hadn’t met before (testing mah memory… Amanda and Elise, if I can spell…), and we kept each other company in the BoringLine.
[Also met Troy, Ash, and one of their friends in the line, but they got bored and left. I hope I got those names right…]

FINALLY we got in, and as I was looking for people, I got spotted first by Rhea who pulled me onto the dance floor, and pointed out Sammie & Co. on the stage.
I also met there over the course of the night – Kif, Ryan, one of the ‘twins’, and some people whose names I SHOULD remember, but I cannot recall at this point.
After AmyAndAmandaAndElise left, I had to search for Sammwah (who was nowhere to be found!) but I caught up with her just outside. And then we returned inside until I had to go catch my bus.

I reckon I might have fallen asleep on the bus because I was SO tired, but at the (former Heaven) West Terracestop, some people got on, and cos the bus was practically full, I found the formerly empty seat next to me occupied, so I spent the arduous trek to Marion engaged in conversation.
And so I thank you RandomLady! You stopped my falling asleep on the bus!

The bus from Marion got me home just before 5am, and though playing computer games at that hour seemed enticing, I decided to sleep instead.

3 – The Final Day – Sunday

Sunday was spent sleeping until 2pm, having breakfast at 2.15pm, and visiting the rellies for a bit. Netball was visited (Congrats team!). Angus was busy netballing. This was our first taste of Angus in many a moon, so welcome back! It was good to see you again!
Then Goodwood Maccas was visited, and Woe!! they don’t have Cherry Ripe sundaes anymore! :@

After this, we went to the Moonlight Cinema to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (the new one). And after this, the Australian Pizza House was visited.

Sunday seems to be the shortest entry… I must be getting really tired and ready for bed now.

Finally, after arriving home, I’m sitting here typing this (it was written Sunday night/Monday morning, even though the post date might be different).

So, until next time,
Terracotta Pie! Hey!
Terracotta Pie! Hey!
Terracotta Pie! Hey!
Terracotta Pie!
Banana-banana-banana-banana-terracotta-banana-terracotta terracotta pie!

2 people care about this.:

Full points, you even spent Elise correctly! (She used to get a lot of people spelling it Elyse, and oddly enough, the Elyse I know used to get Elise a lot. Why can't people just get along?)

Cheers for giving me a lift last night.
